Revision as of 15:40, 8 March 2013
I acquired an Olympus OM-D EM-5 on February 27, 2013. I got it with the bundled 12-50mm kit lens.

Lenses
I bought the Olympus lens hood for the 12-50mm as well as a B+W 52mm Clear UV Haze with Multi-Resistant Coating (010M). More on hoods and filters.
I will almost certainly be getting the 75mm f1.8 lens (see this review). After that, I'm not sure. I'm considering:
Needs:
- Every day prime lens. Just not sure what length I want to be shooting at: 12mm? 17mm? 20mm? 25mm?
- Meetings, often in low-light conditions. This is where the 75mm f1.8 comes in.
Other possibilities:
- First Impressions: Panasonc 12-35mm f2.8 X Lens (Micro Four Thirds)
- Review: Voigtlander 17.5mm f0.95 Lens (Micro Four Thirds)
Panasonic 7-14mm f4.0. I've never used such a wide angle lens before, so I'd want to rent and play with it first.

Bag
I have the BlackRapid Metro camera strap. In theory, the Snapr 35 would have been perfect, but it was not well-reviewed.
I also bought a generic padded insert, which holds the body and a few lenses, and which I can use in any of my bags.
I've narrowed down my bag choices to:
- Tom Bihn Co-Pilot (possibly with an insert) as a combo camera / day bag
- Billingham Hadley Small
- Think Tank Hubba Hubba Hiney. Could potentially hack this to connect to my BlackRapid Metro strap.
I'll probably get a Tom Bihn 3D mesh organizer cube to hold various accessories and cables.
Other possibilities and resources:
Tripod
Definitely going to get a GorillaPod.
